School history
Agora Barcelona International School is a multilingual private school characterized by educational excellence, comprehensive and personalized learning for each student. The school is part of the prestigious Globeducate educational group. In 2017, the curriculum of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program was incorporated.
Our educational project
IB: A model for the future
Agora Barcelona International School has been teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (PD) since 2017. This program is a model for the future that develops in students the key competencies for their academic, professional and personal success, helping them to achieve their goals in an international context.
Multilingualism
We prepare our students for an international future without limits or barriers. We offer a multilingual educational project, with linguistic immersion beyond English, which allows the student to master the official language of their place of residence together with English, French, German or Chinese. In addition, students can obtain official diplomas such as those from the University of Cambridge or the Alliance Français.
STEAM: Science and Arts
Art and science through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) competencies are key to the integral development of children: they provide enormous cognitive and personal benefits, in addition to enhancing their communication skills. Agora Barcelona International School has an agreement with the Conservatori del Liceu de Barcelona, through which students can obtain the Basic Level Diploma of Music from the Liceu and continue studying advanced levels. The creative and performing arts also have great importance in the education of students, enhancing their intellectual abilities.
Sports and health
Sport is an integral part of our curriculum, instilling healthy habits in our students and fostering values such as perseverance, teamwork, and self-improvement. The school has the “Sport Centre” sports complex with facilities adapted to the practical needs of each sport that takes place in the centre: two grass football fields, basketball, handball, paddle tennis and tennis courts, indoor sports complex, semi-Olympic swimming pool, etc. This training is complemented with sports events organized by the school and by the Globeducate group throughout the academic year.
Shaping the World
Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. We must prepare them for jobs and technologies that do not exist today, to solve problems that have not yet been foreseen. We encourage our students to take charge and shape their own future: we want them to be global citizens who can shape the world
